Italian fashion brand Valentino all set to appoint Gucci’s merchandiser Jacopo Venturini as its CEO from June 1

After months of speculation, Jacopo Venturini is all set to step in the shoes of CEO for Rome-based fashion house Valentino. This Gucci’s star merchandiser is all set to succeed Stefano Sassi effectively June 1, 2020.

With respect to his departure from the renowned couture house, Sassi said in his statement that his decision to leave was in full agreement. Leading the brand through multiple mergers, acquisitions, and designer changes since 2006, Stefano has finally bid goodbye.

As for Venturini, this would be its third stint with the Roman fashion brand. It’s a known fact Valentino and Venturini go way back together since 2008 when the latter served as its brand manager before joining Gucci in 2015.
