As per sources, Ali has been in talks with an American filmmaker for the untitled international project, which is a biopic. If all goes well, he will soon close the deal with the filmmaker. The Fukrey actor, however, has refused to reveal more details about the film but exclaims that the project was offered to him before Victoria & Abdul fell in his kitty.
“It will hopefully roll in 2018. I can’t elaborate further as I am yet to sign on the dotted line,” shared the actor. Ali is ecstatic about the fact that the world is becoming a smaller place with the market opening up and filmmakers experimenting with unique topics and he would love to grab these opportunities and not get typecast in a specific role.
As for Victoria & Abdul , the actor will be seen in a titular role alongside Dench. He has been on a cloud nine ever since he got an opportunity to act alongside the acclaimed Hollywood star.
Besides Victoria & Abdul, Ali has a couple of Bollywood films as Tadka and Fukrey Returns, which are scheduled to release this year. While Tadka is an adaptation of Malayalam blockbuster Salt N' Pepper directed by actor Prakash Raj, Fukrey Returns is the sequel to Fukrey(2013), which is being directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
