1.Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City
Sonam will be the best and the most obvious choice for taking on the role of Carrie Bradshaw from the series and film Sex and the City. The role made popular by actress Sarah Jessica Parker will be a breeze for our very own fashionista. After all, who better to give advice and write columns on life lessons, dating tips, fashion, and style? Since Sonam is an avid reader too and writes poems we’re sure she will be able to pull this role with élan.
2.Jane Nichols, 27 Dresses
Katherine Heigl won everyone’s hearts in the film with her “always the bridesmaid, never the bride” role. She was the quintessential miss-goody-two-shoes on whom everyone relies on but she never gets to do her own thing. Seeing her in the 27 dresses that she wore as a bridesmaid in the film was one of the highpoints of the film, especially since some of them were ridiculous and she still managed to look beautiful in it. Sonam will be the best choice to pull this role as she comes across a righteous person and a great support system for her family and friends. Also, she will look so lovely in those over-the-top dresses as well.
3.Rebecca Bloomwood, Confessions of a Shopaholic
Sonam already did channel this role in a small way in her film Aisha. However, she will be the best actress to fit into the role essayed by Isla Fisher. Sonam although has been labeled as a fashionista, has a label called ‘Rheson’ with sister Rhea, and is always impeccably turned out at any event maintains that she dresses for comfort and is happy lounging around in pyjamas. So a role like Rebecca Bloomwood who is a compulsive shopper and later on realizes the importance of saving will be something right up Sonam’s sleeve.
4.Holly Golightly, Breakfast at Tiffany’s
The role made iconic by Hollywood great Audry Hepburn will be a perfect one for Sonam. She will look elegant in the little black dress and smoking a cigarette in a pipe holder. Also, the breezy role and lovable role will be just the right one for Sonam.
5.Mia Thermopolis, Princess Diaries
The debut role of Anne Hathaway will be the easiest Sonam can do after her effortless act in Khoobsurat. The gawky teenager turned into a beautiful princess with grace, elegance, and poise will be something that Sonam might feel nostalgic about, after all, she did undergo a transformation when she decided to take up acting and shed off loads of kilos.
