Ira Khan Wedding Look book: This new age bride breaks 'typical' fashion norms

Ira Khan’s wedding has surely been one of the biggest highlights of this year till now. She tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Nupur Shikhare on January 3 in a registered marriage ceremony. Post which, other festivities took place between January 7 and January 10 in Udaipur. After the festivities were over, the grand reception ceremony was kept in Mumbai on January 13 which was attended by the biggest celebrities of the B-Town including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

Unlike other desi B-town brides, Ira opted for comfort over glamour and broke stereotypes associated with Indian weddings. The daughter of Aamir Khan and his ex-wife wore outfits that matched her vibe and had a blast at the festivities.

As the wedding festivities have wrapped, here's looking at Ira's complete lookbook.

Let’s get into the details and have a look at the outfits that Ira chose for her Big Day which are truly not so ‘typical’ ones.

Registered Marriage:

Ira and Nupur began the celebration on January 3 as both signed to be forever together. The celebration took place in Taj Lands End in Mumbai and was graced by close friends and family members. For this day, Ira decided to ditch heavy lehengas and went on to wear a dhoti-style turquoise-colored outfit with kolhapuri chappals. She completed the look with a blue and pink veil, heavy necklace with matching earrings and mang tikka turning out to bring the vibes of a Disney princess Jasmine. She also avoided doing heavy makeup and kept it minimal which was done by Coleen Khan Affonso

Christian wedding in Udaipur:

Post her ceremony in Mumbai, Ira headed off to Udaipur for further festivities and had her wedding done in a Christian style. She wore a beautiful white gown adding a hair accessory that perfectly blended with the entire look. Her makeup and hairstyle were done by Coleen Khan Affonso and as she walked down the aisle she was accompanied by her parents Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta. The outfit was designed by Sereia Design Studio.

Sangeet Ceremony:

The Sangeet ceremony was vibrant just like Ira's look. The bride opted for an embroidered lehenga in dark colours. Ditching the typical dupatta, Ira gave a different touch to the overall look by taking the Riding Hood inspired cape. Completing the look with curls and minimal makeup, she entered full of smiles alongside Nupur.

Reception

For her reception, Ira opted for a red and golden embroidered lehenga with minimal accessories and a magenta dupatta. Her outfit was designed by Sereia Design Studio and just like in her previous looks, Ira kept minimal makeup and completed the entire look with a curly hairstyle.
