Against the backdrop of Suryagarh fort in Jaisalmer, Bollywood actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot on February 7th, 2023. After the dating rumours for a while, the lovebirds exchanged vows surrounded by the presence of their family and close friends and took to instagram to share their pictures. Against a palette of soft roses, the bride wore an intricately embroidered lehenga embellished with sequins and crystals by the renowned designer and friend Manish Malhotra. The custom ombre lehenga featured details of roman architecture, inspired by the special love the newlyweds share for the city of domes. The lehenga chunni was beautifully draped by Dolly Jain.
Debuting Manish Malhotra’s jewellery line, which is to be launched next month, Kiara decked up in real Swarovski crystal jewellery for her big day. The exclusive set of earrings, necklace, rings and a maangteeka, featured an exquisite composition of the ultra-fine handmade diamond crafted with rare Zambian emeralds.
The actress ditched any traditional colour for her wedding and chose to wear a light pink Sindhi chooda along with beautiful customised kalires designed by Mrinalini Chandra that depicted a story of a thoughtful dedication to her beloved pet, a favourite travel destination, and a little love and mischief in form of stars, moons, couple initials, and butterflies.
Lastly, the makeover by Lekha Gupta was kept muted with a sleek bun hairdo by Amit Thakur. The perfect new-age bride who needs only happiness for her glow and not heavy or bold makeup. Nude lips and light pink eyeshadow with a bindi were simply gorgeous!
It is fair to say that Kiara’s attire was nothing short of a fairy tale!
