Flirty at thirty: Amy Billimoria completes 30 years as a fashion designer

Pandemic or no pandemic, milestones must be celebrated. And so we are happy to note that Amy Billimoria has just completed as many as 30 years as a fashion designer.

Let’s hear it from the delightful designer: “Evolution in design has always been in circles, what goes away comes back with renewed ideation. Each decade has witnessed a remarked change in terms of surface textures, prints and silhouettes. The contemporary modern woman of today is more aware of her wants and is updated through an array of information available through various platforms to help her dress and look more confident. Customising couture was something I believed in ever since I started. Having dressed over 2,000 brides and three generations in many families, I can proudly say that my journey has been one of great satisfaction and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to dress stars from all over the world as also the girl next door.”

Of course, big names apart, what Amy Billimoria really treasures is dressing up the girl next door.
