Abhinav Shukla became one of the most loved contestants of Bigg Boss 14. While fans thought he would make it to the finale, the actor got evicted weeks before the season concluded. Now, he will be back on television with the upcoming season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. Abhinav will be participating with Divyanka Tripathi, Nikki Tamboli, Rahul Vaidya, Shweta Tiwari, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Arjun Bijlani, Varun Sood, Sana Makbul, Vishal Aditya Singh, Anushka Sen and Aastha Gill.
Abhinav, who is currently in Cape Town with Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 team, spoke to PeepingMoon.com exclusively about doing back-to-back reality shows, not participating with his wife Rubina Dilaik and shed light on his preparation for the stunt-based show hosted by Rohit Shetty.
Excerpts from the interview:
What prompted you to say yes to Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 right after Bigg Boss 14. Didn't you feel like taking a break from reality shows?
As a viewer, I have always found the stunts on Khatron Ke Khiladi very challenging and exciting. So, when I was offered the show I agreed to take it on to experience and enjoy the journey.
The show usually needs intense training and prep. How have you planned it?
I haven't gotten much of a chance to train or prepare myself in any way due to the lockdown and being in isolation for a couple of days as well. So, there has been no concrete planning, but in spite of that, I am ensuring I make the most of all my strengths through the show.
What is your biggest fear?
More than focussing on my fears, I am going to focus on how to handle my fears, as that is what the show is all about. How you handle your fears and do tackle each stunt in a composed and strategic manner is all that matters.

Just like Bigg Boss 14, did you wish to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 with wife Rubina Dilaik?
I think no, I wouldn't want to participate with her on the show as I would always be worried about her safety and wellbeing and she would be worried about mine. So, when it comes to this kind of a show it's best we do it individually.
People were disheartened when you were out of Bigg Boss 14. What strategy are you planning to follow for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 to stay until the end?
I don't have any strategy, neither did I have one for Bigg Boss 14 nor do I have one for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. My only main plan is to use common sense, adapting to each challenge and being situationally aware.
