Exclusive: I'll never say no for 'Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi' sequel; not in regular touch with Shakti Arora: Radhika Madan

Radhika Madan, before stepping into Bollywood with Vishal Bharadwaj's Pataakha in 2018, made her acting debut with Ekta Kapoor's Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi on Colors in 2015. Co-starring Shakti Arora, the actress left behind an indelible mark in the television industry before taking films by storm. Now, five years after establishing her foothold as a promising performer, her fans still desire to watch her as Ishaani Waghela.

Radhika, who is currently keeping busy during the Coronavirus Lockdown period, sat for an exclusive Instagram live with PeepingMoon.com. During the conversation, one of her fans put forth the question that whether she will return to television with Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi 2. A firm believer in the phrase, 'never say never', the 24-year-old assured her admirers that if the sequel is conceptualised, she would love to sign it without dual thoughts. In addition to this, Radhika said she would be happier if the sequel gets an OTT release, considering the time constraint associated with television soaps.

Talking about her co-star Shakti, Radhika said she is in touch with him but not on a daily basis. But the two exchange messages on each other's birthdays and send across greetings for festivals and New Year.

Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi was created by Sonali Jaffar and was directed by Anil V. Kumar and Ranjan Kumar Singh. The daily soap ran successfully for one and a half years. The story revolved around the bitter-sweet relationship between two childhood friends who end up marrying each other. Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi was widely appreciated for Radhika's and Shakti's chemistry.
