PeepingMoon Exclusive: Boogie Woogie was organic with no pre-written scripts, if we come back with a great show the audience will be receptive- Ravi Behl

Ravi Behl has been one of the most prominent faces. Be it through his films or the path-breaking dance reality show, Boogie Woogie, he made a place in every person's heart with his charm and warmth. He is now here in a completely new and fresh avatar after a voluntary sabbatical from acting. Ravi was recently seen in Disney+ Hotstar's The Night Manager. He played a pivotal role in the series with Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Boogie Woogie remains to be one of his iconic projects that set the foundation for dance reality shows that are now an integral part of Indian television. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon, Ravi spoke about long-running reality shows and discussed the audience's attention span. He said, "Boogie Woogie was the first dance show in India. Our style was different and we were organic. We didn't have dialogues or scripts written. We shared a good relationship with the contestants aur joh jab jaise bolta tha uspe hum hasi mazak karte the. It was a cool show. Many dance reality shows came after Boogie Woogie. If you make it real, organic and spontaneous, people will love to watch it."

He further added, "Even on OTT platforms, if a good show is made, you end up binge-watching it. I feel it isn't about attention span; it has a lot to do with the quality. If we come back and put up a great show, the audience will be receptive."

Boogie Woogie also had Jaaved Jaaferi and Naved Jaffrey along with Ravi.
