PeepingMoon Exclusive: Took one step at a time, never tried to prove a point to anyone-Aparshakti Khurana on receiving late recognition

Call him Omkar Singh Phogat or Bittu, Aparshakti Khurana has been the star of the films he featured in. Despite being cast majorly in supporting roles, he left behind an impact with his acting prowess. While he was being stereotyped more often than not, Vikramaditya Motwane's web series Jubilee turned the tables for him. As Madan Kumar or Binod Das, Aparshakti led the show with an ensemble cast and delivered a career-defining act.

Jubilee turned out to be a massive hit and Aparshakti was hailed as the 'new star in the making'. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon, he spoke about receiving recognition for his craft pretty late in his career. The actor expressed his gratitude for getting unique opportunities and said he was never in a hurry to reach a certain position.

Aparshakti said, "There are so many actors who don't get their first film till they're 40. I was always ready to show patience and wasn't bitter about life. I took one step at a time and even if it would have taken longer, I would have been fine with it. I was still enjoying my work. I wasn't frustrated with any script or world I was a part of. I enter the set with happy energy. It took time for people to see this side of mine but now they have seen it. I was never trying to prove a point."

Aparshakti will be seen in Berlin and Stree 2
