PeepingMoon Exclusive: Tiger Shroff to star in Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti's next?

We recently reported that Tiger Shroff is setting up an action-packed slate for the next year. The young Bollywood action star has lined up as many as three films to shoot in 2023, which include Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Rohit Dhawan’s Rambo, and Lakshya Raj Anand’s next. And now, we hear there’s one more addition to his illustrious movie slate. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Tiger will headline Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti’s next project.

The yet-untitled film is said to be an emotional action drama and will largely be shot in the UK. Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment produces this film, continuing their association with Tiger after the Vikas Bahl-directed two-part movie, Ganapath, which has completed production and will be released in theatres in the first half of 2023. "Tiger is more or less locked and only the paperwork is left, which is expected to happen in a fortnight. The makers are currently working out Tiger's dates and will plan the movie’s shooting schedule accordingly, "an industry source told us.

This new movie’s development has come to the surface after Tiger and Pooja Entertainment’s film with Attack director Lakshya Raj Anand fell through due to script issues. They were supposed to work together on a massive two-hero action thriller, but that project is said to have been shelved, and Tiger is now working with Lakshya on a different project for a different banner. He is committed to starting that film in June 2023, and we will update you more on this once he has officially signed it.

The plot and further details of the Tiger Shroff-Jagan Shakti film are unknown. However, one wonders if it’s the same project that Akshay Kumar was earlier supposed to star in. As many might be aware, Jagan was working with Akshay on a true-event-based action-drama for Pooja Entertainment in 2020 before it was put on the back burner due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was billed as an action-drama with a dash of science, centered around a law enforcement officer.

Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff is all set to kick off 2023 with Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The buddy film is a culmination of action, drama, and comedy and stars Tiger alongside Akshay Kumar for the first time on screen. It goes on floors in the first week of January 2023 and will be filmed majorly in foreign locations in London, Scotland, Alpha, and Saudi Arabia. Tiger is also expected to start working on his long-in-the-making Rambo remake next year.
