That Akshay Kumar will be present at the closing ceremony of the 48th International Film Festival in Goa this evening is known. That the Bollywood superstar will bring the curtain down at a star-studded closing ceremony by presenting the last award of the festival is not known. And Peeping Moon.com has confirmed information that the recipient of this award is going to be none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Akshay, who has worked with the Big B in a number of films, will present the veteran actor with the Indian Film Personality of The Year Award, it is reliably learned.
Sources say that Akshay, who released the second poster of his social drama Padman, is likely to raise the issue of menstrual hygiene and its awareness at the IFFI.

Talking about his presence at the festival, Akshay had earlier told the media that the IFFI 2017 had truly left a mark and presented cine goers with the best in national and international cinema. “I am looking forward to attending the closing ceremony and bidding farewell to our guests from around the world,” the actor added. He left for Goa this morning and will return to Mumbai tonight.
Meanwhile, adding glamour and glitz to the 48th IFFI are Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra. All of them will be performing at the closing ceremony. Huma Qureshi, Bhoomi Pednekar, and Pooja Hegde are also there but it is not known whether they have any role to play. Along with the Big B, the Canadian director Atom Egoyan will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award too. The Hindi film industry has expressed its appreciation at Mr. Bachchan being felicitated at the 48thIFFI and the unanimous opinion is that his is a most deserved award. Akshay Kumar is said to be looking forward to presenting the award to the Big B.
