Now the story is unraveling. The answer to the pertinent question why Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, K. K. Singh, took a month-and-half to file the FIR against the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family has been revealed. It seems an actress-friend of Sushant’s who does not want to be named here was helping his family in Patna with the missing pieces of the puzzle into his suicide.
This actress-friend reportedly visited the family in Patna twice with supporting evidence to her story of sabotage and blackmail by Rhea, her parents and her brother against beleaguered Sushant. She shared confidential chats that Sushant had with her on Whatsapp in which the actor helplessly confessed that Rhea was blackmailing him. According to what this actress-friend told Singh Sr., Sushant’s home had been invaded by Rhea’s family. Her mother Sandhya Chakraborty stayed there for a great length of time. Sushant hated this and used to feel suffocated by Sandhya’s overwhelming presence, he told his actress-friend. He wanted to break his toxic relationship with Rhea but she and her family threatened to defame him in the media, as a result of which Sushant suffered in silence.

Sushant fearfully told his actress-friend that Rhea used to monitor his cell phone because of which he was not able to maintain contact with his family. He had to delete his chats with this actress-friend every day and reset his phone settings to hide her contact details from Rhea. When Rhea realised this, she used Sushant’s credit card to buy three high-end cell phones costing a total of Rs. 4 lakh. One was meant for him. When she left the apartment, she took two of them.
Sushant told this actress-friend that he no longer had charge over his life. The alleged control over Sushant by Rhea and her family is believed to have extended even over the actor’s trusted team of domestics. Rhea and her mother reportedly changed them all overnight without his consent. When Sushant objected, Sandhya is believed to have shut him up by saying Rhea was staying there and she could do whatever she wanted.
Unable to bear the circus that the investigation into Sushant’s death had become, this actress-friend went to Patna with two of the actor’s former team members to meet his Singh Sr. She took details of Sushant’s bank accounts from his CA which proved to the family that huge sums of money had been siphoned from Sushant’s accounts. The actress-friend also gave details of the cars Rhea pressurized Sushant to buy and how one missing car was being driven by Rhea’s brother Showmik.
All this information is believed to have been verified by Sushant’s brother-in-law, the IPS officer O. P. Singh, who then took the actress-friend to meet Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and plan the FIR against Rhea and her family. Sushant’s father and sisters are apparently convinced his death was not brought about by the nepotism angle that is being tom-tomed, but suspect it was Rhea and her family that drove Sushant to the brink.
