Mika shared his grief with PeepingMoon.com and quoted, "Mujhe death kis wajah se hui hai confirm nahi hai. Agar COVID-19 se hui hogi toh main ghar se pray karunga, otherwise puri koshish karunga funeral pe jaaneka. Lockdown chaalu hua tabse milne jaane nahi mila. It's very sad. Milne jaunga, milne jaunga, woh mann mein hee reh gaya. Bahut bada jhatka hai ye humare industry ke liye (I am not sure about the cause of the death. If it's due to COVIS-19, I will pray from my house, else will definitely try and attend Wajid Khan's funeral. Since lockdown has begun, I couldn't go and meet him. It's very sad. It's a huge loss for our industry.)

Wajid and Mika have collaborated in multiple hit tracks as 440 Volt from Sultan and Chin Ta Ta from Rowdy Rathore.

Mika also took to Instagram to pay his condolences to his 'brother.'
