Exclusive: As Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal' proved to be a debacle at the box-office, Kartik Aaryan believes his characters Raghu and Veer shone the brightest

Kartik Aaryan, with his recent choice of films, has managed to become a favorite not just with the audience but with leading filmmakers too. After back-to-back successes in 2019, the handsome hunk is all set to wow us with a number of interesting projects in the pipeline. While his recent release Love Aaj Kal starring Sara Ali Khan opened to mixed response at the box office, fans are hopeful that he will bounce back with his next ventures. The Imtiaz Ali directorial struggled to live up to the expectation, but Kartik's dual characters-Raghu and Veer were highly appreciated.

Talking to PeepingMoon.com about the same in an exclusive interview during the IIFA 2020 press conference, Kartik said he enjoyed playing the roles of Raghu and Veer. He further added that the characters were different than what he did in the past and received love from the critics as well as the audience. Kartik, during the interview also revealed that he will be performing at IIFA 2020 which will take place in the state from where he belongs to- Madhya Pradesh. For the unversed, Kartik hails from Gwalior while IIFA 2020 will take place in Indore. The actor said that despite having a ligament tear in his arm, he will manage to put up a great performance and expressed excitement for the same.

Workwise, Kartik is currently shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kiara Advani and Tabu. The Anees Bazmee directorial will release on July 31, 2020. He is also busy working on Dostana 2 with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya. He shall shortly begin with Om Raut's action-thriller.
