It does not get bigger than this. PeepingMoon.com has learned that the trailer launch of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe drama Sooryavanshi on Monday, March 2, is going to be as grand and glamorous an affair as the actual release of the film itself on March 24. And joining Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who plays Anti-Terrorist Squad chief Veer Sooryavanshi in the film, will be Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh at the event. Both the actors have made a combined special appearance at the thrilling climax of Sooryavanshi in their policewallah avatars as Bajirao Singham and Bhalerao Simmba from earlier films of Rohit’s popular cop universe.
Sources told PeepingMoon.com that both Ajay and Ranveer immediately and wholeheartedly agreed to join Akshay, producers Rohit and Karan Johar, and the film’s heroine Katrina Kaif at Monday’s trailer launch. It will be held at one of the suburban PVRs in Mumbai and is going to be a spectacular event. There were fears earlier that the makers of Sooryavanshi would go in for a quiet online launch of the trailer. But that is not happening and a big show has been planned.

Incidentally, Sooryavanshi will be the first film in Bollywood and Indian cinema history to have shows 24/7. This call by Rohit was taken after the Maharashtra government decided to allow theatres to operate through the night in Mumbai along with shops and restaurants in malls. Sooryavanshi is also hitting theatres on March 24, instead of its earlier release date of March 27. “India’s First Cop Universe… A new release day – Not Friday…but Tuesday. And A new Initiative – Mumbai 24×7,” the filmmaker posted on Twitter.
