It doesn’t get more exciting or bigger than this! Rumours of two of Bollywood’s biggest comedy franchises planning their fifth films are making the rounds at the same time. And fans of both the franchises cannot believe their luck. While Sajid Nadiadwala sparked off speculation of Housefull 5 with a success party last week for his Diwali release Housefull 4, there is filmmaker Rohit Shetty also making news for hints of Golmaal Five in the offing. Both these franchises, we need scarcely remind you, are headed by Bollywood action superstars Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn who also specialize in comedy.
PeepingMoon.com has learned that Golmaal Five is certainly on the cards. But if a date has to be predicted for this Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn comedy caper, then it could be safely said to be Diwali 2021. At this time, nothing more is known about the film, not even its likely cast. Both Rohit and Ajay have other major projects in hand next year to get out of the way first. But it is generally known that they both of them favour Diwali for the release of the Golmaal films. Golmaal Again, the last in the series, came on Diwali 2017 and was one of the most successful films of any comedy franchise. Now if sources are to be believed, Rohit is looking at locking November 4, 2021, for the release of his Golmaal Five.
Interestingly, PeepingMoon.com’s resident Astro-numerologist, the indefatigable Sanjay B Jumaani, has shed light on his friend and celebrated five-star director, “Ro-Hit-Machine Shetty”. According to Jumaani, “Rohit is a No. 5, he was born on March 14 (5), and his name adds up to 5 too.” Instead of Golmaal 5, Rohit’s next in the comedy franchise is spelled Golmaal Five according to his family of numbers. The Astro-numerologist and filmmaker worked together on the latter’s winning numbers with Golmaal Again (2017) and Simmba (2018). And they are combining energies again on Sooryavanshi that will release in March 2020.’
