Adding yet another feather to his illustrious hat of numerous achievements and recognition, Anupam Kher is certainly one of the most versatile and admired actors globally. Making his country proud at the global level yet again, the thespian is now a member of the prestigious Oscars Academy along with his Bollywood counterparts, filmmakers Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Ritesh Batra. Interestingly, he is the only Bollywood actor invited to be part of Oscars Academy this year.
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has issued an invitation to 842 new members across 59 countries including 21 Oscar Winners, 82 Oscar Nominees and 85 Oscar Nominations. Anupam Kher exclusively told PeepingMoon.com that it is a "great honour to be a part of the prestigious academy". He said, "It is a great honour to be inducted as a member of the prestigious Academy. I am grateful to the Academy and look forward to representing India at Cinemas biggest avenue."
With an illustrious acting career spanning more than 500 films in several languages and many plays, the distinguished actor enjoys a huge following on the social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.The prolific actor, who will start shooting for the next schedule of New Amsterdam 2 in USA from August.
