Javed Akhtar reacts strongly to Pahalgam Terror Attack: 'time for do or die, Give Pakistan a befitting reply'

The recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has angered and shocked the whole country. This attack was condemned not only by the general public, but big names from the film industry have also come out openly. Veteran lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar has strongly condemned this attack and demanded strict action against Pakistan and terrorists.

During a program in Mumbai, Javed Akhtar gave a sharp statement and said, "This is not the first time this has happened, it has happened many times. Now it is enough. I appeal to the central government to take strict steps now. Nothing will happen by just bursting crackers on the border. Now is the time for concrete action. A mad man like the army general of Pakistan gives a speech that Hindus and Muslims are two different communities. He does not even care that Hindus live in his country too. It is necessary to answer such people, and such an answer should be given that is remembered for life. Now the time has come - either do or die."

At the same time, in an interview given to PTI, Javed Akhtar said that in the current situation, any kind of friendly discussion between India and Pakistan is meaningless. He clearly said, "It is wrong to raise questions like allowing Pakistani artists to work in India in the current situation. These questions can be asked when the relations between the two countries are better. There is no such environment right now. India has always welcomed Pakistani artists, but the same sentiment has never been seen from Pakistan's side."

After the attack, the Indian government has taken strict action and banned the release of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan's film 'Abir-Gulaal'. Apart from this, many Pakistani YouTube channels have also been banned in India, including major channels like Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News and Geo News. Also, Instagram accounts of famous Pakistani artists like Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan have also been banned in India.
