Aamir Khan and Laal Singh Chaddha team 'strongly deny' claims of littering a village in Ladakh during shoot

Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya and the team of their upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, are shooting for war sequences in Ladakh and Kargil areas. They are shooting at a location near Wakha village. On July 8, a Twitter user shared a video from the shooting site and accused 'environmentalist' Aamir and the team of Laal Singh Chaddha of littering the village.

The user wrote, "This is the gift Bollywood star Amir Khan’s upcoming movie Lal Singh Chada has left for the villagers of Wakha in Ladakh. Amir Khan himself talks big about environmental cleanliness at Satyamev Jayate but this is what happens when it comes to himself."

After the video went viral, Aamir addressed the issue with a statement issued by his production house team on his behalf. The statement mentioned, "To whomsoever it may concern, AKP would like to clarify that as a company we follow strict protocols for cleanliness in and around our shooting spaces. We have a team which makes sure that the location is trash free at all times. At the end of the day there is a re-check of the entire location. At the end of the entire schedule, we make sure that when we leave a location we leave it as clean, or cleaner than we found it."

The team added, "We believe that there are some rumours/allegations about our location not being kept clean. We strongly deny such claims. Our location is always open to relevant local authorities to carry out checks anytime that they like."

Aamir is producing Laal Singh Chaddha with Kiran Rao. The couple recently announced their divorce but assured that they'll continue producing films together. Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Manav Vij. The film is directed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni. It is expected to release in theatres this Christmas.
