Today, on Ranveer's birthday, the film has been announced. The film is titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and marks Karan Johar's return to the director's chair after 5 years. His last directorial was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

PeepingMoon sources informed that Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is a cross-cultural rom-com that revolves around a girl who decides to live in with her boyfriend's family before marriage. It is said to be a beautiful dramedy that's immersed in the roots of love and family. The film is scheduled to go on floors in a couple of months.
