Divya Dutta remembers Irrfan as 'one of God's most gifted actors', shares memories with him from film Blackmail's workshop

Hollywood and Bollywood lost a legendary actor to a neuroendocrine tumour on April 29, 2020. Irrfan, who battled the tumour like a warrior for 2 years, left for his heavenly abode. The void left by his passing away cannot be filled. Today, it is Irrfan's 1st death anniversary. Divya Dutta, who worked with Irrfan in Dubai Return in 2005  and Blackmail in 2018, remembered the actor fondly. Talking to a leading daily, she shared an anecdote from Blackmail.

"I remember the last film that we did together, ‘Blackmail’. We had met our director Abhinay Deo for a workshop. We were given our scripts and we all sat very seriously and after a few readings, Irrfan was like, ‘ Chal na yaar jadu set pe karenge na. Abhi kuch accha sa khana mangwate hai set pe!’. Then we were just talking about food, chit-chatting. Irrfan was all about spontaneity and sheer sensitivity. Irrfan was undoubtedly one of God's most gifted actors," Divya told.
