Akshay Kumar, who headed to Ayodhya to shoot his upcoming film Ram Setu, met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Thursday. The pictures from the meet have gone viral on the internet.
Earlier, the actor had shared glimpses of himself with his co-stars, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha seated on the stairs of an aircraft before they took off. He had also shared photos of the mahurat pooja done on the sets. He met the CM before the pooja.
Reportedly, Akshay will play the role of an archaeologist in the film. Ram Setu is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Aruna Bhatia under Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra and Lyca Productions. SubasKaran & Mahaveer Jain join forces with Cape Of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment for Ram Setu. Amazon Prime Video will be the co-producer and this is their maiden film production venture. Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi serves as the creative producer on the film.
The release date of Ram Setu is yet to be announced.
