Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna to start shoot of Mission Majnu in Lucknow from February 12

Sidharth Malhotra is all set to begin shoot for his next film Mission Majnu in Lucknow from February 12, 2021 as per latest media reports. This will be the second film that Sidharth will be shooting in the city after Jabariya Jodi in 2019. Mission Majnu will see South sensation Rashmika Mandanna make her big Bollywood debut. The film is directed by Shantanu Bagchi.

As reported by an online portal, the film’s shooting schedule will be for a period of 45 days. The film will be shot at the Jahangirabad Palace in Hazratganj, La Martiniere, on the city roads and also in Malihabad. The film’s team is already in the city and the formal shoot will start from February 6 but Sidharth will join the sets four days later.

Mission Majnu is reportedly based on true events of the 70s and portrays India’s covert operations in Pakistan which was one of the deciding factors of the relationship between the two neighbouring countries. Sidharth is supposed to play the role of a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent in the film who goes to Pakistan to stir things up.
