Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has been appointed as the Chief of National School of Drama.
The appointment was announced by Minister of Culture and Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel on social media.

Paresh had also served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing the Ahmedabad East Constituency from 2014 to 2019.
The appointment has been done by President Ram Nath Kovind.
