Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez join ghosthunters Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor in 'Bhoot Police'

Pavan Kirpalani, after roping in Arjun Kapoor with Saif Ali Khan in his upcoming horror-comedy titled Bhoot Police, announced the names of the leading ladies. With a statement to a leading daily, the director who has films like Ragini MMS and Phobia to his credit, informed that Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez are joining Arjun and Saif to tickle the funny bone of the audience with chills and thrills. Stating the reason behind signing the actresses, Pavan said they will add an element of craziness and magic to the film.

"This will be my first collaboration with the entire cast. We needed someone to add an element of craziness to this entertainer, and both of them will add magic to the script," Pavan told the daily.

Bhoot Police was announced in 2019 with Saif, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. However, Ali has been replaced by Arjun and Jacqueline-Yami came on board in place of Fatima. Talking about the change in cast, Pavan mentioned that the script was changed a couple of times after producers Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri joined the project. Considering it, the makers felt Saif, Arjun, Yami and Jacqueline fit the bill. "The script has gone through several changes after Rameshji and Akshai got on board. Saif, Arjun, Jacqueline and Yami perfectly complement each other in the film," Pavan added.

Producer Ramesh informed that the team has started the pre-production work and will go on floors soon. The horror-comedy will be shot across Dharamsala, Dalhousie and Palampur. "We are consulting experts to plan safety measures for the team. We aim to wrap up 80 percent of the film during the outdoor schedules. The remaining portions will be shot at a set in Mumbai," Ramesh said.
