In a first, Akshay Kumar plans legal action for FAKE media report on booking charter flight for sister and kids

Akshay Kumar, who is usually very tolerant of the media and indulgent towards Bollywood journalists, has this time lost his cool with India Forums. The website, popular for its entertainment news, has upset the Bollywood superstar by running a story on Thursday that alleged “Akshay booked a whole passenger flight and got it converted into a chartered flight for his sister, her daughter, son and maid to fly from Mumbai to Delhi”. The actor is reportedly contemplating legal action.

Journalist Priyanka Chauhan, who broke this story, further alleged that the flight had a capacity of 186 passengers but only four traveled. It had four crew members to take care of their needs, two pilots, one additional crew member (ACM) and a loader to carry their luggage. No special treatment was given to the actor’s family and all Covid-19 sanitization and safety measures were followed.

Outraged, Akshay exploded on Twitter just now, “This news about me booking a charter flight for my sister and her two kids is FAKE from start to end!” He added forcefully that his sister has not traveled anywhere since the lockdown. And the highlight of his tweet, “She has only one child!”

Indicating that he had enough of putting up with false and concocted reports in the media, the aggrieved actor is considering legal action against the site and reporter. If he resorts to legal recourse, it will be the first time that Akshay Kumar has taken any media organisation to court for a story that is allegedly false, derogatory, mala fide or malicious.
