'Idiot this is old picture clicked 2 months back,' says Varun Dhawan as Netizens try to troll him for not following social distancing amid COVID-19 lockdown

Varun Dhawan on Monday expressed gratitude towards police personnel who are working tirelessly during the COVID-19 lockdown. The actor paid a tribute to the Police force by posting a picture. VD took to his social media to post an old picture in which he is seen shaking hands and exchanging smiles with a police officer.

He posted the picture on his Instagram story with an emoji of folded hands. Soon, he received backlash on Instagram and Twitter as people starting slamming him for not following social distancing. But VD was quick enough to clarify and reply by saying that the picture was clicked two months back.

When a user trolled him on Twitter, VD wrote, "Idiot this is old picture clicked 2 months back love u"
