After conducting a COVID-19 test, happy to inform the results came negative: Former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje after coming in contact with Coronavirus positive Kanika Kapoor

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her son BJP MP Dushyant Singh have tested negative for the novel and deadly coronavirus. Raje posted the good news on Twitter but said that she and Dushyant will remain in self-quarantine for the next 15 days as a ‘preventive measure’.

Raje and Dushyant had come in contact with Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor who had arrived from London attended a few parties in Lucknow where the BJP leaders were also present. Kanika had tested positive for COVID-19 and is undergoing treatment in Uttar Pradesh’s capital now. Raje tweeted, “After conducting a COVID-19 test, I'm happy to inform you the results came back negative. As a preventive measure, my son and I will continue to be in isolation for 15 days.”

Dushyant also tweeted, “My COVID-19 report is negative. As a precautionary measure I am currently in isolation and following all medical instructions".

Raje had announced on Friday that she had met Kanika at the party in Lucknow who has unfortunately tested positive and hence she is putting herself under self-quarantine.

Kanika is facing legal charges against her as UP Police has filed a case of negligence and putting others’ lives in danger by her insensitive action.
