It's been over a year since Shah Rukh Khan marked his presence on the silver screens with Aanand L. Rai's Zero. After the film was declared as a box-office debacle, the superstar has been taking time away from Bollywood and is reportedly considering a project by Rajkumar Hirani. Shah Rukh and Rajkumar were in talks since Munna Bhai MBBS days and now it seems their collaboration is taking shape, but nothing on papers officially. As fans are desperately waiting for an announcement, the makers of the yet-to-be-confirmed film are keeping details under tight wraps. With the buzz surrounding the Shah Rukh-Hirani collaboration being so strong, rumours had it that Kareena Kapoor Khan will join him as the leading lady. While the mystery surrounding the film continues, Kareena clarified that she isn't paired opposite Shah Rukh.
Kareena, who is gearing up for the release of Angrezi Medium, during an interview with a leading daily, told that the rumour isn't true but she would love to work with Shah Rukh in future. For the unversed, Kareena and Shah Rukh teamed up for films like Asoka, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Don and Ra. One. "No, that’s not true. I love and respect Shah Rukh immensely and would love to work with him again. But there’s nothing happening at the moment," Kareena told.
Workwise, Kareena will be seen in the role of an undercover cop named Naina in Irrfan starrer Angrezi Medium. The film which is a sequel to 2017 hit film Hindi Medium is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It also stars Radhika Madan and will release on March 13, 2020. Apart from that, she stars in Karan Johar's Christmas 2021 release Takht.
