It made an exciting and breaking story yesterday that sent Bollywood in a tizzy but somehow Dharma Productions is not amused. The news that Karan Johar is ready to launch Shah Rukh Khan’s vivacious daughter Suhana Khan along with Bigg Boss 13 runner-up Asim Riaz in his Student of The Year 3 is not true at all.
Karan, today, on Twitter, burst the bubble and dismissed the rumour as false. Yes, it is true that KJo is known to launch new actors in his coming-of-age, romantic-comedy-drama franchise with a high school as the background. There were Bollywood newbies Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in SOTY (2012) followed by Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in SOTY 2 (2019) alongside Tiger Shroff. But SOTY 3 is not even on the drawing board at Dharma Productions currently.
Absolutely baseless stories making the rounds of SOTY3 !!!! My request to everyone publishing this fabrication is to kindly Stop! Please!

The production house has its hands full for the next two years with Bhoot, Sooryavanshi, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Shershaah, Brahmastra, Mr. Lele, Shakun Batra’s next with Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Takht, Ranbhoomi and Dostana 2. Not to mention its thrilling slate of fiction and non-fiction web series with Netflix under its new banner Dharmatic Entertainment. SOTY 3 is perhaps just a future dream for Dharma’s creative production team currently.
A source from Dharma Productions told PeepingMoon.com, “The news that Karan will launch Suhana and Asim in SOTY 3 is utter nonsense! Somebody with a lot of imagination went to town with this news cashing in on the fact Asim was in the news over the weekend for losing to Siddharth Shukla in the Bigg Boss 13 finale but winning hearts for his performance in the Colors reality show. And any story of Suhana’s Bollywood debut makes great copy. But KJo making SOTY 3 by introducing Suhana and Asim is utter nonsense.”
