Watch: Dia Mirza gets emotional at Jaipur Literature Festival 2020, faces brunt of Twitter backlash

Dia Mirza has always been vocal about the necessity to address an important issue like the climatic change. Be it shunning plastic to associating herself with tree plantation movements, the actress has never left any stone unturned to do her bit. Similarly, on Monday, Dia was at the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival 2020, to participate in a panel discussion on climate change. However, the 38-year-old actress who is always seen flashing her happy smiles, broke down into tears. While addressing the audience present, Dia emphasised on the importance of being 'an empath' and even refused to accept the tissue. Soon, when Dia was asked about the reason behind her emotional breakdown, the actress said the untimely death of NBA player Kobe Bryant. The former Miss Asia Pacific told that the news of his helicopter crash disturbed her and she was overwhelmed due to low blood pressure.

"My day started really well yesterday (January 26). At around 3am, this news alert came on my phone for a very big player, NBA player who I followed for a while. His chopper crashing in California disturbed me. It really upset me. There are different things that upset us on different days, but we take care of ourselves. I was overwhelmed because my blood pressure was low," Dia told.
