WATCH: 'Tanhaji Unites India,' says Ajay Devgn as he thanks the audience for accepting him as Tanaji Malusare in his 100th film

Actor-producer Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has opened on Friday along with the Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak. The film has already crossed Rs 60 mark at the box office in its first weekend itself and is getting a lot of praise and love from the audience and critics alike. The film is a biographical period action drama in 3D, starring Ajay, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Sharad Kelkar. The film is directed by Om Raut. Set in the 17th century, it is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was a subedar in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire.

As the film continues to win hearts, Ajay took to his social media account to thank the fans and the audience for showering love on the filmIn fact, in the 26 seconds long video clip, the actor is seen asking the Indians in India and around the world to go and watch Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Earlier, talking about initial audience response to the film, Ajay had said, "I am hopeful that the audience will also appreciate it. I urge the audience to go and watch the film in theatres because this kind of film hasn't been made earlier on such a big scale and with such advanced technology."
