Ranbir Kapoor gets replaced by Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next film ‘Devil’?

A few months ago, it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor is collaborating with Sandeep Reddy Vanga who directed Kabir Singh. However, producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series has denied locking in any actor in the rumoured project. Several media reports suggested that Vanga is gearing up to make a dark crime thriller titled Devil with Ranbir in the lead. However, it was reported that Ranbir wants to give his nod to the project only after reading the entire script. So, now it’s hardly surprising that reports are coming in that Ranbir has been replaced by Prabhas. However, there is no official word regarding the same.

According to media reports, Ranbir eventually opted out of the film and it landed in Prabhas’ kitty who has gone through the script and given his nod too. Bhushan had earlier said about the project, “We are doing the film. But no one actor has been finalized. He is still writing the script. When it'll be ready we will officially announce it. No one has been approached yet."

Earlier a source had told a daily about Ranbir’s hesitation in taking up the project and said, “"Ranbir Kapoor is keen to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. However, he wants to first read the entire screenplay and only after that will he decide whether he wants to do the film or not. Sandeep is currently writing the script and it will take atleast 10-15 more days for him to wrap it up completely.”

Looks like, Ranbir was not very keen on taking a dark character as Vanga’s films are known for dealing with protagonists who have more than just a shade a grey in them. Watch this space for more updates on the film.
