Farah Khan spills the beans on why Aamir Khan could not be a part of the iconic ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ song from ‘Om Shanti Om’

Farah Khan is a well-known choreographer who turned into a very successful director with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Main Hoon Na. However, she reaped accolades and acclaim as well with the film Om Shanti Om that starred SRK and was the debut film of Deepika Padukone. The film was a reincarnation comedy-drama with a dash of suspense as well. But the USP of the film was its title track that had the who’s who of Bollywood making an appearance.

However, one name that the audience, as well as Farah, missed in the song was of Aamir Khan. In a session at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at Goa, Farah spoke about the fact that she missed Aamir in the song as she had managed to grab almost all stars in her song Deewangi Deewangi. Speaking about Aamir, she said, “I wanted Aamir (Khan) in it. I wanted one shot to have the three Khans together. Aamir drove me crazy for ten days. He couldn't make it because he was editing Taare Zameen Par.”

However, Farah also revealed that Aamir told her four years later that he didn’t want to do the song. She also confessed that she wanted to rope in Dilip Kumar in the video and SRK was supposed to help her in bringing the veteran actor shoot for the song, but it didn’t work out.
