'Ghar jaise hi baat thi,' says Ajay Devgn on working with his wife Kajol in 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'

The trailer of Ajay Devgn's and Saif Ali Khan's magnum opus period drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has finally released and within a few hours, it has managed to pave its way as the most anticipated films of 2020. The period war drama has not just among fans but amidst critics, created a positive stir. The film that marks the collaboration of Ajay and Saif after Omkara in 2006 also plays witness to the reunion of the former with his wife Kajol onscreen after a couple of years. And this collaboration of the real-life couple has sent fans of the actors into a zone of excitement. Ajay, during the trailer launch of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, on being asked about his experience working with Kajol, told the atmosphere on the sets was just like being at home.

"I don’t know what the feeling is kyunki aise lag raha tha ki main ghar pe hi hu," Ajay told.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 which was fought between Tanaji Malusare, a commander of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Udaybhan. Saif plays Rajput officer, Udaybhan Rathod, who served under Mughal army chief Jai Singh and is pitted opposite Ajay. Kajol plays the role of Tanaji's wife Savitribai Malusare. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms and T-Series. It will release on January 10, 2020, in 3D.
