Confirmed: John Abraham's upcoming action-thriller 'Attack' to hit the screens on Independence Day 2020

Actor-producer John Abraham's love for the action genre is no secret. In July this year, he announced that he will produce and play the lead in the action thriller - Attack, a race against time story of rescue by an 'Attack team' led by a lone ranger, played by John. The film is a fictional story inspired by true events, set against a hostage crisis that brought a nation to its knees. Written and directed by debutant Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack will be produced by Dheeraj Wadhawan and Ajay Kapoor's Kyta Productions and John's JA Entertainment.

Now adding to the excitement, John has confirmed that Attack will hit the screens on Independence Day 2020. Revealing that the film rolls on January 4 and opens on August 14, John told a leading daily, "I’ve come to believe that the day belongs to me, not just because it’s a national holiday but also for the feelings it brings forth. Attack is an apt Independence Day release, patriotic without being jingoistic." For the unversed, director Lakshya has previously assisted Kabir Khan on New York and Ek Tha Tiger, and Siddharth Anand on Bang Bang.
