Won't be acting in the films that I produce, but will guide new talent under my wing: Kangana Ranaut on venturing into production

Kangana Ranaut, after proving her mettle as an actor, ventured into direction with Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. Not just this, but the gorgeous actress is all set to enter new territory by turning a producer under her home banner Manikarnika Films. Kangana, after putting a hold on this plan, owing to other professional commitments, is back on track and will be foraying into producing films having taken a thorough experience at filmmaking with the historical drama. Speaking about her production house, Kangana, during an interview with a leading daily, told that she won't be acting in films under the banner, but will rope in new talents and guide them under her wings.

"I won't be acting in the films that I produce. There is a lot of talent around and I will hire actors who are perfect for the scripts. I will take new talent under my wing and guide them," Kangana told during the interview.

Adding further on the production venture, Kangana said her office, which was booked around two years ago, will be ready to move into by January and soon after, the team will start looking into good projects that have come across her. She also said that some films were offered to her for acting purposes too but her primary emphasis lies on giving new actors a chance. "My office will be ready by January. Simultaneously, we are readying our projects. There are so many good scripts that come my way and the makers want me to feature in them. But there is so much new talent that needs to be given a platform. It’s important that these powerful scripts don’t get lost and make it to the big screen," Kangana added.

Workwise, Kangana was last seen in Judgementall Hai Kya. Her next films include Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga and Dhakad, both scheduled for a 2020 release.
