Sushant Singh Rajput’s and Jacqueline Fernandez’s Drive will be releasing on Netflix as the OTT platform’s first feature film. The film directed by Tarun Mansukhani and is an action-thriller. The film was supposed to hit the screens on June 28 but had got postponed due to some post-production work.
Karan Johar who is producing the film under his production banner Dharma Productions shared the news on Instagram today. He shared a picture of Sushant and Jacqueline and wrote, “Shifting into high gear with ! Coming onto your screens soon.
The film marks Tarun’s return to direction after 11 years. He last directed Dostana that starred Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. In Drive, Sushant plays a stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway expert and begins a dangerous ride into the underworld.
Drive will now release on Netflix probably next year and will mark the digital debut of both Sushant and Jacqueline. It is also the first Dharma Productions’ film to get a straight digital release and will be presented under KJo’s digital content company Dharmatic Entertainment.
