The Jonas Brothers recently won the award for the best pop video for their hit single, ‘Sucker’ at the MTV VMAs this year. In the original photo taken on the awards night, brothers Kevin and Joe were clicked kissing their respective wives, Danielle Jonas and Sophie Turner, while Nick stood between the two couples without his wife Priyanka Chopra. However, to everyone's amazement, PeeCee hilariously photoshopped herself next to Nick as she missed the awards show and as expected, the picture went viral on social media.
Speaking about it, Priyanka told an international channel while at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, “I was sick that day, which is why I couldn’t go to the VMAs. It was supposed to be this fun night where all six of us got together because we never really get to do it that often." She added, "We all have very crazy schedules, and now that the boys are on tour, we meet as the six of us. So, this was supposed to be that fun thing. We had dinner planned after, and then I was really unwell. I think Nick felt really bad that he was there and I was unwell."
Nick was feeling lonesome when they won an award for their song, to which she said, "I was watching it from my couch at home and when they won, just seeing his face I felt like, ‘Ugh'. I should have been there, but I was so sick, and I saw it on his face." Well, there's always a next time!
Priyanka's next film The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, is slated to release on October 11.
