The passing away of legendary actress Sridevi was certainly the most shocking and tragic news the nation has come across. And today (August 13) as she turns 56, her memories flash before us, leaving us teary-eyed. The family of the actress as well as the nation is yet to come to terms with the news, her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor remembered her mother fondly and shared a beautiful picture of the actress on her Instagram account. Soon after, Janhvi shared a picture of her standing outside a temple. The temple is situated in Tirupati where the Dhadak actress sought blessings on her mother's birth anniversary.
Janhvi, like Sridevi, followed the ritual of visiting Tirupati ever year on the latter's birthday. In the picture, the actress looks like a spitting image of mom Sridevi. Dressed in a traditional golden and green half saree, commonly worn by unmarried girls in Southern India. Her hair was done into neat braids and she rounded off her look with a pair of minimal makeup.
Sridevi passed away in February 2018 after accidentally drowning in a bathtub at a hotel in Dubai. The actress went to Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor while Janhvi gave it a miss owing her her debut film Dhadak's shoot. Janhvi, during an interview with a leading daily, opened up about Sridevi's death and said, "I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months."
