Taapsee Pannu who is looking forward to the release of her upcoming film Mission Mangal has been leaving no stone unturned to promote her film. In one such media interaction, Taapsee expressed her desire to star in the biopic of former External Affairs Minister and BJP stalwart Sushma Swaraj who passed away last night due to a massive heart attack.
During the media interaction, when Taapsee was asked whether she would like to essay the role of Sushma Swaraj if a biopic is made on her life, the actress replied in the affirmative and said, “I would love to play the role of Sushma ji in her biopic. I have always looked up to her since my childhood. I admired her tremendously. She was a great orator and although I was never interested in politics whenever she used to speak in the Parliament, I always stopped to listen to her speech. She was a great human being and I will always be her fan. If given a chance to play her onscreen I will not let go of the opportunity. Who will not like to do a biopic on such an eminent personality?”
Sushma Swaraj was a revered politician and astute leader who had a lot of firsts to her name. Since last night, tributes have been pouring in for her and people have been wishing strength to her husband Swaraj Kaushal and daughter Bansuri Swaraj.
Her final rites were performed today and top-notch leaders of the country including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, BJP stalwart LK Advani were present to pay their homage to the charismatic leader with a heart of gold. The country has been grieving and sending out emotional tributes for the leader who touched many lives during her tenure as the EAM.
