I just want to spend more time with my family: Shah Rukh Khan on not signing films after Zero

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. However, to everyone's dismay, the film tanked at the tkbox-office and failed to impress the critics as well. Ever since the film's debacle, SRK has not announced his next project yet, although there were rumours of him starring in Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahan Se Accha, apart from taking up Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Sahir Ludhianvi biopic. In fact, specualtions were rife that the actor would also be returning with Don 3.

While the rumours surrounding his next film refuse to die down, SRK in a recent media interaction said that he has no film with him right now. "I am not working on any film. Usually what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months. But this time I am just not feeling like...My heart doesn't allow me to..I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books. Even my kids are in their college stage...my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So I just want to spend more time with my family," he was quoted as saying by a leading magazine.

Although Shah Rukh may have a genuine reason to stay off the big screen, we hope he will make an announcement about his next project soon. Meanwhile, he is all set to return as the host of TED Talks Season 2 and is reportedly looking to sign Rajkumar Hirani's next film, which will be produced by his home productions Red Chillies Entertainment.
