Gully Boy song Mere Gully Mein: The Ranveer Singh rap track is nothing short of a 'Dhamaka'

Ranveer Singh is all set to showcase his rapping skills in Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film Gully Boy, featuring Alia Bhatt as the female lead. The film has been generating a lot of buzz for its unique storyline and its first song, Apna Time Aayega, has been ruling the charts. Now adding to the excitement, the makers have released the second track, titled Mere Gully Mein. And we must say, the rap song featuring Ranveer and Naezy is nothing but a 'dhamaka', as rapper Naved Shaikh termed it to be.

Composed by Divine and Rapper Naezy, the song features a rap battle between Ranveer and Siddhant Chaturvedi and be it the choreography or their energy, the song is a powerhouse. In fact, the 2.56-minutes-long track begins with a small chat between Siddhant's Sher and Ranveer's Naved, who want their listeners to come to their Gully. Not to forget, the song is a recreated version of the Divine's and Naezy's 2015 original.

Gully Boy is said to be inspired by the slum rappers of Dharavi and is apparently based on the journeys of Indian rappers Neazy aka Naved Shaikh and Divine aka Vivian Fernandes. The audience has been hailing the rapper avatar of Ranveer in the real world of underground music created by Zoya.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby, Gully Boy is slated to release on February 14.
