The wait is over as Priyanka Chopra shared pictures from her wedding to Nick Jonas on Instagram but in the midst of this, one particular fact about her Ralph Lauren dress, which she wore for her Christian wedding, has stunned us. Priyanka married Nick in a two-part wedding ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur – on December 1 in a Christian wedding and as per Hindu traditions on December 2.
International magazine People reports that Priyanka’s wedding dress was made over a span of 1,826 hours as per the brand. “When we went in for the sketch presentation, they created exactly what I envisioned for myself on my wedding day… and I said, ‘Yes’ to the dress,” Priyanka told People in her first interview after her wedding.

People also reports intricate details of the dress that has been hand-embroidered and adorned with floral motifs set in lace and appliqués. 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins constituted a strapless dress, laid underneath her gown. Her veil was almost 75 feet long as she accessorised her look with Jimmy Choo shoes.
“For the Western wedding, we had been talking to a bunch of incredible designers, but ultimately when Ralph Lauren approached us, I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years — one for his daughter, his daughter in law, and his niece. I was blown away,” Priyanka told People.

In fact, Ralph Lauren’s team also "hand-stitched eight words and phrases" into her wedding gown – Nick Jonas’ full name (Nicholas Jerry Jonas), her wedding date – December 1 – and her parents’ names – Madhu and Ashok Chopra. To make the gown even more special, Priyanka requested the designer’s team to sew a piece of her mother-in-law Denise Jonas’ lace wedding dress into hers, People reports.
Only 225 guests and family members attended the ceremonies and two-part wedding in Jodhpur including Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma, Isha Ambani, Priyanka’s sister Parineeti Chopra, Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and his partner Sophie Turner.
