Moushumi Chatterjee seeks Bombay High Court help in getting access to her comatose daughter

Actress Moushumi Chatterjee on Thursday approached the Bombay High Court to seek access to her comatose daughter Payal. She also appealed to Court for a direction to her son-in-law Dicky Mehta to let her attend to her daughter.

The petition was mentioned before a division bench of justices BP Dharmadhikari and SV Kotwal by senior counsel Beni Chatterjee who is representing the actor in the case. The bench has scheduled the hearing for Saturday. The court also directed Mehta to file his affidavit in the meantime in response to the petition.

According to Moushumi’s petition, Payal suffered from a serious illness after she got married to Mehta in 2010. Last year, she was admitted to a hospital where the actor and her family could meet her and take care of her.

However, a few months ago Mehta and his family got Payal discharged from the hospital while she was still in a comatose state and have been treating her since at their residence in Khar. The actor in her petition has claimed that since then she and her family has been denied the right to meet Payal at her residence.
