Shahid Kapoor congratulated Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas after their engagement and wished her the very best for the future. Priyanka and Nick, rumored to be dating since the past few months, formalized their relationship with a traditional roka ceremony at her Mumbai residence on August 18.
According to a leading website, Shahid, during a press conference on Sunday, said, “Many, many congratulations to Priyanka and Nick. Marriage is a beautiful thing, I can say that from my experience and I wish her all the best.”
Shahid and Priyanka, co-stars of films Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahaani, reportedly dated for a while in 2009 and separated after a few years. Well, that’s history for now – the 37-year-old actor is married to Delhi-based Mira Rajput since 2015 and is expecting his second child with her. Shahid and Mira also parent Misha – their daughter, who was born a year after their wedding.
As far as Priyanka and Nick are concerned, their roka was attended by family members and close friends including Arpita Khan Sharma, Anusha Dandekar and Shrishti Behl Arya apart from the actress’ sister Parineeti Chopra.

Priyanka, 36 and Nick, 25, met during the Met Gala in 2017. Nick, as per media reports, proposed to the actress on her birthday on July 18 in London.
Shahid Kapoor, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of his new film Batti Gul Meter Chalu, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The film will release on September 21.
