“Suhana has said things to me that no woman has ever said to me in my life” - SRK talks about his daughter

A proud father, Shah Rukh Khan’s little daughter Suhana Khan is taking big steps towards her career in Bollywood. Last night the superstar announced his 18-year-old daughter as the cover girl for Vogue India’s latest issue. Donning a varied range of high-end designer attires and swaying her wavy mane while dancing to the studio music, Suhana pulls off her first ever magazine shoot perfectly well.

During the course of Suhana’s shoot, her protective father dropped by asking the staff to pretend like he wasn’t there. He said, “I’m just here to hang out with my daughter.” In fact, he even sat by and massaged Suhana's feet, who had been shooting in high heels. That was just the beginning. The star father shared quite a few insights about his relationship with his star daughter.

In her interaction with the magazine, Suhana confessed that the one similarity she shares with SRK is “shyness”. Taking it ahead SRK answered, “I don’t have many friends, but my kids are my friends—I’m easiest around them. I’m usually very awkward around women, but I’m very close to Suhana—she has said things to me that no woman has ever said to me in my life.” The dotting father added, “I try not to be different with her than with the boys, but Aryan always tells me I can’t ever be angry with Suhana.”

Shah Rukh, who has seen Suhana’s performance only once during her school play, is sure that she has to carve out her own way. “Suhana’s not working towards a promise of being cast, she’s working towards being an actor, and she knows that. We have friends who are very well-meaning and think of my kids as their own, and they’re all happy and keen to launch her. Like Karan Johar. But I keep insisting that I don’t want them designed as stars, I want them to be launched when they are good-enough actors” he concluded.
