It is not every day that you get to witness Nita Ambani dancing to a Bollywood number. Even though she is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, the occasion has to be extra special. A glowing and resplendent Nita was seen dancing to Shubhaarambh song from the film Kai Po Che at her eldest son Akash’s pre-engagement party with Shloka Mehta last evening. The video that was posted on Instagram has gone viral since then. Needless, to say she looks beautiful and dances elegantly.
Nita Ambani wore a maroon Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree, draped in the Gujarati style with a bun that was bedecked with gajras. She accompanied the look with heavy jewellery. Very few know that the wife of one of India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and used to perform on stage during her young days.

This heartwarming gesture of Nita where she danced to welcome her daughter-in-law into the folds of the family is awesome, and she could not have picked up a better song as the young people are about to start a new journey in their life. She is accompanied by background dancers who give the routine a more vibrant and rich feel. Nita looks graceful, elegant and in her element on the stage and it is difficult to believe that she is 54-years-old and dancing at her son’s pre-engagement party.
Shloka is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta who heads Rosy Blue Diamonds. Akash and Shloka are childhood friends who are now about to tie the knot in December this year. Akash’s twin sister Isha Ambani had said previously that Shloka has always been a part of their family and that the engagement just made the bond official. The bride-to-be looked gorgeous in her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga.
The engagement party was attended by the who’s who of the Bollywood and business world. Shah Rukh Khan with wife Gauri Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali Tendulkar all were in attendance at the function. Priyanka Chopra also attended the function with Nick Jonas.
