Padmavati first poster to be out next week!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati is in news since the time it was conceptualized. And with each passing day, the controversies around the film kept mounting, which will be finally put to rest. Sources close to the filmmaker said that the poster of Padmavati will be out next week. “The poster looks splendid, it has all the elements from the film.” he said, adding, “Bhansali sir is very happy with the result as he feels that the poster will have a great impact.”

Though the makers had earlier decided to release a promo but changed their mind after the poster was ready as they felt it will do complete justice to the film's first look.

Padmavati has Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles along with Ranveer Singh who will be playing a negative character. Earlier, the makers had announced that Padmavati will hit the screen on November 17. However, due to many setbacks, this wasn’t possible.

But despite all odds, Bhansali is now determined to finish the shoot by October end and is looking out to release the film in December. The source further shared that SLB is firm to release the film this year and hence the poster too will have ‘December release’ written over it, quashing all the reports of Padmavati release being pushed to 2018.

Other news from the sets is that Bhansali has fixed his mind on releasing the film on December 8, 2017, which also marks the release of John Abraham’s Parmanu and Farhan Akhtar’s Fukrey Returns. Considering this news, there are possibilities for the latter two movies to be pushed to another date. “The reason Bhansali is keen to release the film on Dec 8 is that he wants a two-week window for Padmavati before Salman Khan'sTiger Zinda Hai hit the screens on December 22, 2017,” added the source.

The official announcement of the date will be revealed only once Bhansali is through with the film's shooting.

Though the major chunk of the film has been shot, some big action sequences are still left. Ranveer’s portion as the young Alauddin Khilji, too, remains to be shot.

Meanwhile, we are keeping our fingers crossed!
